Stupid Thief and Clever Pig: A Tale

They say that elephants and monkeys are very smart animals. But other animals are not fools either.

Here, look at the clever animals I’ve seen.

Our master had a pig at his country house.

And the owner locked that pig in the barn for the night so no one would steal it.

But a thief wanted to steal the piggy.

He broke the lock at night and sneaked into the barn.

And the piglets always squeal very hard when they’re picked up. So the thief brought a blanket with him.

As soon as the piglet wanted to squeal, the thief quickly wrapped it in a blanket and quietly came out of the barn with it.

So the piggy squeals and flounders in the blanket. But his owners couldn’t hear him scream because it was a thick blanket. And the thief wrapped the piggy very tightly.

Suddenly the thief feels that the piggy is no longer moving in the blanket. He stopped screaming.

He lies there with no movement.

The thief thinks..:

“Maybe I wrapped him up very hard with a blanket. And maybe the poor piggy suffocated there.”

The thief turned the blanket as soon as possible to see what happened to the pig, and the piggy will jump out of his hands, how he will squeal, how he will rush aside.

That’s when the owners came running. A thief has been captured.

The thief says:

– Ah, what a pig this tricky piggy is. He must have pretended to be dead on purpose so I could let him out. Or maybe he fainted out of fear.

The master tells the thief:

– No, my piggy didn’t faint, and he pretended to be dead on purpose so you could untie the blanket. It’s a very clever piggy that got us to catch the thief.
